Queen of Faylinn where she is forced to defend herself amongst other kingdoms that want to rule over others. Can she forgive people from her past that had threatened to destroy everything in her future and the ones she loves. Can a gesture to help the man she loves earn the chance to forgive Lia? Can the kingdom's come together as one in order to fight and change the evil done by others? I would highly recommend this series.

Luminary does not disappoint. A ton of surprises are laced all through out story. Some are sweet others are bitter. Some characters I wanted to slap around, some characters I wanted to shake and tell them to stop being stubborn, then I realized that I was reading a book! It's that good, it felt real.
A good story. Hard to put down at times. I do have questions about a few things that were unexplained or didn't follow previous matters on the subject that I found very important for the story line. I don't want to put in any spiolers so i wont point out the issue. I still really enjoyed the books so far.
So much to love about this book. Numerous times my heart overflowed down my check with emotion. A strong female heroine finding her place in a new world and proving herself worthy. With Calliope's friends and family by her side, she can accomplish the unthinkable, and she did. Read it!
Mindy Hayes is a major talent. She should be picked up by a major publishing house or whatever the next step is for a book author. Her books could use another level of editing, though there aren't too many glaring grammatical problems. The most notable editing deficiency is with the flow of the narrative and story. It is choppy at times and bounces around a bit. Her story transitions need to be tighter and she needs to stay consistent with earlier story lines and themes that she sometimes contradicts later or just don't make complete sense. Her writing could be more seamless. Some gaps in story flow where you are left with huh? Did I skip a chapter or two? I would think that most big name, talented authors know the end from the beginning before they start writing in ernest. I get the impression that she writes in a free flowing way and makes up the story as she goes along. She should consider outlining her books major thematic elements if she doesn't already. She should know the end from the beginning. Take JK Rowling, the smallest of details never got lost as her stories progressed making her stories come alive and feel completely real.

In spite of these shortcomings I couldn't put her books down. She sucks you into her world and you don't want to leave. This is a book that you and your teens will really enjoy. No cringe inducing sex scenes but with plenty of action and romance. I wish her all the best. She deserves it. Her books get better as she goes along. She is obviously maturing as a writer.
I read all three of the books in the faylinn series on the recommendation of a friend and quite enjoyed them all. The characters are well developed, likable and interesting. The story of Calliope becoming the Fairy Queen interested me because I like powerful, mystical creatures. My heroes and heroines need to be strong, capable, and fighters. I thought Calliope lacked a little in this area in the first two books, and she took a really long time to fight back, but I liked her never give up attitude. I liked getting to know Sakari in this novel, but I wish we'd spent a little more time with Ky. Overall it ended well and left me satisfied with the series.
The perfect ending to these great books! Wow so many emotions in this book, I didn't think it could be this good. This book made me want to yell in frustration, laugh, and cry and so many times. It was very well written I could feel the love, pain, and suffering of every character. I loved watching each character as they grew stronger and developed through out this story. I'm almost sad it's over. But very happy with this ending. It was original and I recommend this trilogy to anyone who likes a good story full of love, hate, betrayal, forgiveness, faeries, enchanted worlds, and family. A great read!
Love it as much as the first two!

I only have one complaint, and that is there seem to be quite a few little typos and editing issues in this one. I absolutely refuse to give it lower stars though because of it, because the first two books were very well polished. This being the third book, I don't know if somehow things were overlooked? But it might need one more read through to help smooth those minor issues out.

However, that being said, the story is just as stellar as the other two, and there's no way you want to miss this ending. Just breathe, and just keep reading. You'll be glad you did.
